About Us

The Human Biology ProgramĀ aims to prepare our students for future careers where an interdisciplinary education would be an asset, such as academic research and teaching, health professions, and public policy on research, health, education, and the environment.

The broad learning objectives for Faculty of Arts & Science programs are to: attain a critical depth of understanding in a subject area; cultivate a breadth of knowledge reflecting the range of concepts, processes, and structures across different areas of knowledge; develop core competencies in learning and applying this knowledge; and integrate the skills and knowledge acquired during the degree program by engaging in inquiry-based activities. To achieve these objectives, we have adopted the following set of core competencies, which includes: critical and creative thinking, self- directed learning, quantitative and analytical reasoning, effective communication, scholarship and research.
